Part VI. Spam
It's
true that no one enjoys true, worthless 'spam.' Photo License
Plates does not 'spam.' However, we may bulk e-mail individuals
who have opted-in to a list by any number of means, i.e. a newsgroup,
their ISP, a subscription, etc. We never do the e-mailings ourselves
and the lists are not ours and we never see the lists. We send
the subject and body to a company and they do the rest. We always
have an opt-out button at the bottom of any advertising. Very
seldom do we get complaints about our bulk e-mailings. We
sell a legitimate product for a legitimate price from a legitimate website
with our phone number, e-mail and business address on it! We do
not sell pornography, mlm, of misrepresent ourselves. We sell
license plates with peoples pictures of their pets or their children,
etc. on them. We must assume that no one has a problem with this.
Advertising runs the entire business world from television, the internet
to your own mailbox. No advertising - No internet! Why not
try to stop those annoying television ads that run right in the middle
of your favorite TV show. We pay for our television and we pay
for our cable every month and we pay for the electricity to run our
television. Why have to watch advertising too? Because
we're used to it. Back in the early days of television, how
do you think people felt about TV ads? We all pay for stamps,
envelopes and labels. Why do we still get those annoying flyers
in our mailbox - some from very legitimate companies. Because
we're used to it. That's a waste of our dwindling natural
resources. Is bulk-emailing any different from TV ads or flyers
in your mailbox? And what about major long distance phone companies
always calling? The bottom line is that just like TV and the US
mail, there's a place for "G" rated advertising for worthwhile products
on the internet. Do you know that people actually read these e-mailings
and place orders and are very happy afterwards? This happens more
than a complaint! Take the time to read some of the
praises we receive on our website from
customers so happy to have a picture of their pet dog that passed away
or similar on a license plate forever. They contact us three months
later and thank us again and again. Please try to have an open
mind on this issue and if we offended anyone with an e-mailing, we're
very sorry. Sincerely,
Robert Pinzhoffer - Pres. Photo License Plates
